EURADIA Partners (members of EURADIA)

Research concerns everyone in the diabetes community; EURADIA therefore encompasses all the stakeholders in diabetes with an interest in research; most importantly people with diabetes, academic scientists who carry out the research, clinicians and specialists who 'translate' research into treatment, education and care for people with diabetes, and pharmaceutical companies who innovate treatments for the disease.

EURADIA extends its remit only within the area of diabetes research from the most basic science to clinical research and studies, health policy and care delivery, education and health management. It represents the interests of its members as a whole and not those of individual members. Decisions about activities, or focus of the Alliance are taken democratically by the Board with full representation of all members.

As a unique alliance of NGOs and pharmaceutical companies, EURADIA's mission is to improve the lives of people affected by diabetes both now and in the future, through advocacy of diabetes research in Europe at the highest political and societal levels of influence, and by shaping the allocation of resources for diabetes research in Europe through increased awareness.
